About the Author

Binay Kanti Dutta is a former chairman of the West Bengal Pollution Control Board, Kolkata, India. He has been involved in research and teaching in chemical engineering since 1970. He has taught at the Regional Engineering College (now the National Institute of Technology), Durgapur, India; the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India; the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada; the Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Perak, Malaysia; and the Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He has also worked as a visiting scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Boulder, Colorado, USA; the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, USA; and the Environmental Protection Agency, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He is a former head of the Chemical Engineering Department and a former director of the Academic Staff College at the University of Calcutta. Professor Dutta has published extensively on transport processes, mathematical modeling, membranes separation, reaction engineering, and environmental engineering, and holds a number of US, European, and Malaysian patents. He is the author of Heat Transfer―Principles and Applications and Principles of Mass Transfer and Separation Processes. He also served as the 2005 president of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Good quality books for infants/toddlers. Sized right for little hands and lift a flaps are thick and sturdy. Simple stories with colorful illustrations with numerous details. My granddaughter is 6 months old and will sit by herself and turn the pages and look intently at the pictures, in addition to story time. The Bee and Little Red Barn are her favorites, the set is a nice variety and fits easily in diaper bag. Would buy again, especially for a gift.

I initially wasn't "wowed" by these books but after seeing how my 13mo old loves these books I would definitely recommend these books! He loves them and they have very durable flaps and bright colors, 5 stars!

Great very high quality though smaller books. Really perfect new baby books, my advanced 19 month old still liked them but were on to more complex stories now as he learned the books.

I love these books for my one year old - they’re sturdy and hold up to her rough flap-lifting skills and there are more than a few words on each page, so I can legitimately read them to her. The illustrations are cute, too!

This is our favorite series of books. My baby is 14 months old and she loves lifting and closing the flaps. She doesn’t stay as entertained with books that don’t have flaps and these are the sturdiest. She brings these books to me so we can read them together. So glad we found these.

Sturdy, colorful flap books for toddlers. I was pleased with these books that are toddler friendly. They will last longer due to their construction. Friendly for little fingers to move the flaps and see the surprises underneath.

I fell in love with these 4 books when I received them. It took my daughter a little longer to love them though. After having them a few months, she’s now 18 months, and they are her favorite books. We read each one at least once per night. The Little Green Frog is our favorite of the 4 right now. The illustrations are stunning!The Little Yellow Bee also has gorgeous illustrations.The flaps are very thick and sturdy. I know they’ll last a long time.I’m so glad I ordered these!
